James J. Lescantz has over 32 years experience in the construction
industry. After serving in the US Air Force, James worked for several
landscaping contractors before starting his own landscaping business.
His work in the construction remedial repair trade began at Tatley-Grund
Inc., a leader in the field of investigations and remedial repairs of building
enclosure systems. Starting as a laborer and earning a position on the
original testing crew investigating building enclosures, James moved to the
position of foreman overseeing remedial repair jobs. He eventually moved
to the testing department, assisting at site investigations. His
considerable forensic and remedial and repair experience led him to an
investigation consultant.
In 2004 James joined Construction Defect Consulting, a firm which provides
forensic and remedial repair services to Owners, contractors, developers,
insurers and construction attorneys. He prepared mediation presentations
and expert reports for arbitration and trial. His site work included
visual observation, & destructive and intrusive testing to the building
enclosure and its components, recorded through reports and photographs. James'
hands-on field experience in intrusive testing openings allow him to run
investigation crews effectively and efficiently.
Now at Corke Amento, James continues to assist in the investigations of
various projects and brings with him his experience of scope development and
cost-saving opportunities. |
